Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán is bracing his team to face on of the “strongest” squads in the Sky Bet Championship.

Watford currently sit third and have the second-best defensive record in the league table. Town, however, come into this game off the back of three consecutive wins at the John Smith’s Stadium.

When speaking ahead of the match, Carlos explained how tough this test will be for his players.

“Watford has one of the strongest squads in the league and that’s why I don’t need to talk about they; they talk about themselves. They are in a high position in the table.

“Like always, we need to concentrate on how we can command the game and stop the players they have; they have a high number of quality players. They have good wingers that can unbalance the pitch on the sides. We need to think how we can stop their strengths and use every option.

“I think they are a solid team in defence. It’s a team that can be compact and use the counter-attack, they can attack directly using their wingers and strikers or they can attack on the sides combining with their offensive full-backs.

“I think they have a lot of possibilities, but if they are compact, we will try and control the game more and attack them.”

Town will be without a number of players this weekend, but the Head Coach admitted that Ben Hamer will be back soon.

“I don’t think Ben Hamer will be ready tomorrow.

“It’s not an important injury but we think that if today he continues doing the other parts of the job without kicking the ball and on Saturday he rests, then we think next week he will be back training with the group.

“I think he will be with the squad next week.

“I think we have exactly the same number of players.

“Every player is in the same position and everyone can continue in the same way; that’s something that is positive knowing that with this number of games you can lose some players along the way.”
