Head Coach Carlos Corberán is looking for a response from his Huddersfield Town side during Tuesday evening's game against Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Terriers go into the midweek encounter at the John Smith's Stadium off the back of a loss late on in the Yorkshire derby at Barnsley on Boxing Day.

Having come away from Oakwell empty-handed, Carlos is hoping the Terriers can bounce back with the focus now shifted on to Tuesday’s meeting with the Rovers.

“We have just two days between the games, (so) first of all we are going to be clean of the feelings from the last game,” he said.

“The dressing room was feeling the pain, it’s necessary, but after we clean that, we have to analyse how we can avoid those situations and then analyse a team in Blackburn when I expect a game in a different way.

“They try to play a lot from the back, it’s an attacking team and another team that is going to press us.

“So, we need to change our mind very fast so we can face the game in the perfect conditions.”

Tony Mowbray’s side make the journey across the Pennines just inside the top half of the table but as the league’s joint-top scorers through 21 matches with 35 goals.

Town’s Head Coach details what he expects from a free-scoring Rovers side on Tuesday evening.

“I know that the level of Blackburn is high.

“They have been working with the same coach for nearly four years now.

“They have experienced players, players with a high level, as well as a clear identity to play the ball from the back.

“They have dangerous strikers and dangerous players that are going to make a very challenging game.

“They have the quality and the style to compete. At the same time, we are not far off them in the table.

“What we need to do is to try to develop our best ideas, try to play one game with personality, and try to use the feeling we have from the last game to help us to compete in the next game in the conditions that we need to compete.”
