Head Coach Carlos Corberán dedicated Huddersfield Town’s win over Blackburn Rovers to the supporters.

The Terriers were victorious in their final game of 2020 after a last-minute winner clinched all three points at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Carlos lauded his players’ effort and explained how delighted he was for the supporters.

“First of all, I’m really happy for the fans because I want to make them happy.

“I like to see that the team is making the effort for them to get the points and to celebrate with them.

“For me, the level of the effort today, of the team, was very high. For me, we get one three points that the team deserves.

“Knowing they will have chances because they have quality strikers, the team avoided a lot of chances, and we created options to score a second goal before they scored.

“We couldn’t stop the goal that they did today, but the team showed a high level of character and personality to score the second one.”

Town showed fantastic spirit to respond from the disappointment of the equaliser to steal a winner, something that impressed the Head Coach.

“We kept our intensity, effort and solidarity between the players; these are key.

“Second of all, we had the personality to play, Blackburn are very dangerous with the ball, so we had to take the ball, play in their half, try to harm them with the ball, to be brave and to control the game.

“We had the personality and the character to play and at the same time, we didn’t give up after they scored, and continued trusting that we could unbalance the game.”
