Young Terrier gains experience of Play-Off Final win at Wembley

- Kian Harratt helped Harrogate win promotion to the EFL
- Harrogate Town beat Notts County in the Play-Off Final
- Youngster gained his first experience of Wembley Stadium

Kian Harratt had his first taste of promotion as Harrogate Town won the Vanarama National League Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium.

The 18-year-old has been on loan at Harrogate Town as they looked to make history and be promoted to the EFL for the first time.

After beating Boreham Wood in the one-legged Play-Off semi-final, Simon Weaver’s side headed to the National Stadium to face Notts County.

Kian was an unused substitute in the Final, but the experience would’ve been amazing for him.

Harrogate Town got off to a great start taking the lead after five minutes before doubling their lead just before the half hour mark.

Notts County grabbed a goal back just after half-time, but the match was sealed in the 71st minute when Jack Diamond scored the winner.

That result sealed Harrogate Town’s promotion to the EFL and Sky Bet League 2 for the first time in their history.

Kian, alongside his Harrogate Town teammates, then celebrated the promotion at Wembley Stadium!

Since joining the Club in January, Kian made seven appearances for the Club and scored one goal, which came against Guiseley in the County Cup. He had one assist to his name.
