Huddersfield Town forward Josh Koroma looked back on an action-packed 3-3 draw with Manchester United’s Under-23s in Town’s final game of pre-season.

Koroma looked a threat from the right wing throughout and was key to Town’s fightback after the Reds’ youngsters had raced into an early 2-0 lead.

Alex Pritchard pulled one back for Town before the 21-year-old set up Juninho Bacuna’s equaliser. On the hour-mark, Koroma completed the turnaround with a fierce strike from range before United levelled late on.

Town’s no.19 looked back on the 90 minutes when speaking to #HTTV post-match.

“It was very competitive,” he said.

“We went 2-0 down which was unfortunate, we could have gone under, but we didn’t.

“I think a draw was a fair result.”

Having spent the second half of last season on loan at Rotherham United, Josh has returned to Town this summer and featured in both of the Terriers’ pre-season outings, adding 65 minutes against United to the 45 he completed in midweek.

The young forward was delighted to get more minutes in the legs and provide some goal contributions ahead of next weekend’s season opener against Rochdale.

“You always want to be scoring and assisting as an attacker.

“I’m just happy that I can help the team and hopefully I can kick on from here.”

As Town’s opening game of the 2020/21 season, that Carabao Cup First Round tie against the Dale will also be new Head Coach Carlos Corberán first competitive game in charge.

Josh gave an insight into what it’s been like working with the Spaniard and his coaching staff during the pre-season campaign.

“When I first came in, he filled me with confidence, he’s filled all the boys with confidence.

“We all know it’s a fresh start. We have everyone back in now, a few injuries but hopefully they’ll be back soon. Everyone’s just been buzzing recently.

“We’re working tirelessly in training on different patterns, different ways to play out from the back.

“So, we just have to keep working, keep improving and keep learning.

“All the boys all look fit and we’re ready to go for our first game of the season.”
