The Huddersfield Town Foundation has facilitated training for seven people to take part in their new programme, Sporting Memories.
The Sporting Memories training took place on Wednesday 4 September at The Deighton Sports Arena. The training consisted of learning how to facilitate a reminiscence session, this included using the ‘sporting pink’ news paper props supplied by The Sporting Memories Network.
The second part of the training day based around adapting physical activity to the needs of the participants with games such as Boccia and New Age Curling.
The seven attendees have now successfully completed the Sporting Memories training and are now able to volunteer and facilitate the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Sporting Memories sessions, to take place in the near future.
