Huddersfield Town currently have 14 players out on loan or work experience during the 2019/20 season gaining a taste of First Team football.
That number includes several Young Terriers from the Academy who are making an impact at senior level in the early stages of their respective campaigns. Htafc.com has a look at their seasons so far.
Rekeil Pyke at Rochdale
Rekeil has enjoyed a promising start to his second spell at Spotland having signed on a season-long loan in the summer.
The forward has already matched his tally of six appearances that he made during a short loan spell for the Sky Bet League 1 Club in 2018/19, that was limited due to injury.
He also found the net for the first time in the blue of Rochdale; scoring in a 5-2 Carabao Cup First Round win over Bolton Wanderers.
Romoney Crichlow-Noble at Hartlepool United
The left-sided defender joined the Pools on a season-long loan and is the latest opportunity to further his footballing development.
In the opening stages of the season, Romoney has started twice for the Vanarama National League side who have won back-to-back games in recent weeks against Wrexham and Torquay.
The 20-year-old has previously played at senior level for Enfield Borough and at Bradford Park Avenue on loan last season.
Ben Jackson at Stockport County
Ben made the move to County off-the-back of a successful pre-season with Town’s First Team.
The 18-year-old was part of the 26-man travelling squad on the pre-season tour to Austria before he made his professional debut for Town, coming on as a substitute in the win at Rochdale.
Now at his hometown club for the season, he has already made six appearances during the Hatters’ strong start on their return to the fifth tier of English football, as they currently sit in sixth place in the table.
Dom Tear at Gateshead
Having impressed during his first taste of senior football last season at Larne FC, Dom is playing his football at Vanarama National League North side Gateshead in 2019/20.
The Tynesiders were relegated from the Vanarama National League last season and Dom has featured twice from the bench as the Club attempt to go back up at the first attempt.
They’re currently ninth in the table with 11 points from their opening eight games of the new campaign.
Olly Dyson at Barrow AFC
The young attacker re-joined Vanarama National League side Barrow AFC this summer following a work experience spell at Holker Street that was hampered by injury in 2018/19.
Now back to full fitness, Olly has started four times and made two appearances from the bench in the opening weeks of the season.
He also netted his first goal for Ian Evatt’s side in Saturday’s unfortunate 3-2 defeat at table-toppers Woking.
Isaac Marriott and Jaheim Headley at Bradford Park Avenue
The pair were loaned to BPA following successful trial periods over the summer.
Since then, Isaac has featured eight times for the Club whilst Jaheim currently has two games and a goal under his belt; his first goal in senior football.
Central midfielder Isaac has previously played at senior level during spells at Brighouse Town and Larne FC whilst this is Jaheim’s first taste of men’s football.
Luke Mewitt and Oran Thompson at Hyde United
Both Luke and Oran, 19, have both featured in the early weeks of Hyde United’s BetVictor Northern Premier League campaign having gone out on season-long loans.
Goalkeeper Luke has appeared in four of the opening five fixtures and has played a key role in Hyde’s early season rise to second in the table.
Oran has also featured in two of the Club’s early-season games, with the Tigers registering 12 points in the opening month of the season.
Andrew Ijiwole at Ossett United
17-year-old Andrew joined BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One North West team Ossett United on work experience for the 2019/20 season.
The winger has already featured five times for the Club as they occupy 17th in the table after the opening four games.
It’s a first experience of senior football for Andrew who flourished in the Young Terriers last season, playing 39 games overall.
Darnell Mintus at Brighouse Town
18-year-old Darnell is also playing his football in the BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One North West league at fellow West Yorkshire Club Brighouse Town.
The forward is yet to get on the scoresheet but has made three appearances off the bench for the Club in the opening weeks of the season.
FIRST TEAM
Aaron Mooy at Brighton & Hove Albion
Having signed a new three-year deal on deadline day, Aaron made the move down to the South Coast for the 2019/20 campaign, joining Brighton & Hove Albion.
It’s a return to Premier League football for the Australian international who featured heavily for Town over the last two seasons in the top-flight of English football.
Aaron made two appearances for the Seagulls so far, featuring from the bench in a 1-1 Premier League draw at home to West Ham United before his first start for the Club in the Carabao Cup Second Round win at Bristol Rovers last week.
Ben Hamer at Derby County
The Town First Team ‘keeper joined fellow Sky Bet Championship Club Derby County on a season-long loan for the 2019/20 season.
The 31-year-old has played in both of the Rams’ Carabao Cup ties this season, against Scunthorpe United and Nottingham Forest, keeping a clean sheet against the former before Philip Cocu’s side were knocked out in the Second Round by their East Midlands rivals last week.
Ramadan Sobhi at Al Ahly
Now back in his home country, Ramadan returned to Egyptian Premier League side Al Ahly on loan for the duration of the 2019/20 campaign.
The winger originally came through the youth ranks at the Egyptian Club before making his professional debut for the side in 2014. Ramadan also spent the second half of last season at the Club and is set to spend the duration of the 2019/20 season with the Egyptian giants.
