Huddersfield Town’s Under-19s side will work on their attacking transitional game against Salford City as they continue their development.
The game will kick-off at 1pm at PPG Canalside on Friday 1 November 2019 and Huddersfield Town supporters can watch the Under-19s in action for FREE!
As games for Town’s youngsters continue to come thick and fast, they also continue their development with the current training phase focusing on attacking transitions.
With that, the youngsters in each position have specific tasks and aims to work on to effectively use the transition within matches.
Huddersfield Town’s Academy Manager Leigh Bromby commented:
“This is a development-based game for the youngsters who have been working hard on our attacking transitions.
“To make this style affective every player has a role to play and specific targets to meet.
“In short, our defenders look to pass through the lines, our midfielders have to offer angles between the lines, and our strikers have to make penetrating runs in-behind to stretch play.
“There’s more detail to it than that, but they’re good examples of what we expect from them in games like these.
“These games are also fantastic for us to see what the lads have been picking up on in training and what needs extra work.
“The balance between performance-based games, objective games, and development games, will help progress them as young footballers as they are always experiencing new scenarios.”
