Special event arranged by Town’s Club Partner Storthes Hall

- Bake Off organised by Club Partner Storthes Hall
- Teams baked a cake based on a Huddersfield landmark
- Event brought together the #HuddersfieldHundred

The first #HuddersfieldHundred Bake Off took place earlier this week with Town’s Club Partners and guests coming together for an afternoon of baking, awards and networking opportunities!

The five teams taking part were tasked with baking, designing and decorating their cakes in the style of a Huddersfield landmark!

Cakes designed in the shape of the John Smith’s Stadium, Emley Moor Mast and the Huddersfield Train Station were presented to the judges by the teams from Club Partners ABS, Wilbys and Worthington Brown respectively.

Both Thornhill Dental and Revell Ward also made the famous Castle Hill as their locally themed masterpiece.

The Head Chef from Storthes Hall was then joined by Huddersfield Town Club Ambassador Andy Booth on the judging panel before they presented awards to the day’s winning teams, with Thornhill Dental and Revell Ward winning the Star Baker Award and the Taste Award.

Meanwhile, the team from ABS picked up the Tidy Table and Design awards for their impressive John Smith’s Stadium cake! Worthington Brown also claimed the less prestigious At Least You Tried Award for adding extra eggs into their mix!

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:

“The first ever #HuddersfieldHundred went down a huge success with our Club Partners and guests who showed they have some fairly good baking skills!

“It was a great for our partners to come together away from a formal environment and have the opportunity to network with each other.

“A huge thank you to the five teams for attending and to Storthes Hall for their continued support in hosting the event.”
