Huddersfield Town supporters can now watch highlights from the Club’s 1-0 win at Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship!
The win was Town’s first under the Cowley brothers and a first since February 2019 in all competitions, building on the point against Millwall at the John Smith’s Stadium at the weekend.
Lewis O’Brien started the move for the only goal of the game, robbing opposite midfielder Joe Allen of possession inside the Town half before moving the ball quickly to Juninho Bacuna.
Juninho kept the ball rolling to fellow substitute Adama Diakhaby, who drove forward before slipping a return pass to the Curacao international. He side-stepped the last defender before smashing the ball between goalkeeper Adam Federici and the near post, sparking wild celebrations in the away end!
It had been a gritty, hard-fought game beforehand, with Elias Kachunga missing the best chance of the game inside the opening five minutes whilst, at the other end, Allen headed over Stoke’s best opportunity.
