Huddersfield Town 2-1 Barnsley – 20/08/2016

In the early stages of Town’s 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship season, Jonathan Hogg’s late goal proved to be the pivotal goal as Town beat Barnsley 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Chris Löwe opened the scoring on this day in the 27th minute, however Town were pegged back at the start of the second half as Alfie Mawson equalised for the visitors.

With the game heading for a draw, Jonathan Hogg popped up to give Town the three points late on.

Huddersfield Town 5-0 Barnsley – 01/03/2014

Five different players were on the scoresheet for Town as they beat Barnsley 5-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium in March 2014.

Keith Southern, Danny Ward, Adam Hammill, Adam Clayton and Sean Scannell all bagged against Barnsley as West Yorkshire prevailed over South Yorkshire.

Despite not getting himself on the scoresheet, Nahki Wells played an important role on this day as he managed to assist four of the five goals in the game.

The win saw The Terriers climb up to 13th in the Championship.

Huddersfield Town 1-0 Barnsley – 01/04/2006

In April 2006, a solitary goal separated the sides as Huddersfield Town overcame Barnsley 1-0 in Sky Bet League 1.

The only goal of the game came in the 55th minute as Gary Taylor-Fletcher struck to give The Terriers the lead and eventually the three points.

Huddersfield Town 2-0 Barnsley – 19/09/1995

A week after beating The Tykes 3-0 in a Division One clash, Huddersfield Town overcame Barnsley 2-0 in the first leg of their Second Round tie in the League Cup.

Simon Collins opened the scoring for Town on this day, making it two goals in two games against Barnsley, before Ronnie Jepson repeated the same trick as Collins to double Town’s lead.

Huddersfield Town 3-0 Barnsley – 12/09/1995

Huddersfield Town beat their Yorkshire rivals 3-0 at the McAlpine Stadium on Tuesday 12 September 1995 in their Division One clash.
