Young right-back goes out on loan for regular First Team football

- Demeaco Duhaney joins National League North side on loan
- Attacking full-back to gain First Team football at Boston United
- Comments from Academy Manager Leigh Bromby

Young Huddersfield Town right-back Demeaco Duhaney has joined Boston United on loan.

The 21-year-old will join up with the National League North side until 2 January 2020 as he looks to gain regular First Team football.

Managed by Craig Elliott, the Pilgrims sit 11th in the sixth-tier of English football just two points outside the Play-Off places.

Demeaco made his Huddersfield Town debut in the Premier League against Wolves last season, however his game time since that point has been hampered by injury setbacks.

After returning from injury, the attacking right-back has made five appearances for Town’s Elite Development Team/Under-19 side and scored one goal.

The youngster joined Huddersfield Town in August 2018 as a free agent having departed Manchester City.

Huddersfield Town Academy Manager Leigh Bromby commented:

“This loan move is the perfect opportunity for Demeaco to gain regular football.

“He did really well last season to earn his chance to play in the First Team here, but following his injuries, he now needs regular game time to help his development.

“This loan will provide Demeaco with different tests that will help improve his game and allow him to gain further minutes under his belt.

“Hopefully he will then return to us in a position where he can, once again, be involved with the First Team.”
