Manager Danny Cowley explained that his players are determined to give the Huddersfield Town fans a win at home.

The Terriers are looking to build on their first victory of the season when they face Hull City on Saturday at the John Smith’s Stadium.

When speaking to the press, Town’s Manager explained the importance of giving fans a home win.

“It was great that near on 1,000 supporters were able to see the victory with us on Tuesday night.

“We know that we’ve had 20,000 plus pretty much all season and they really deserve to have a victory as well, it would be really nice if they could see a win with their own eyes and feel that they’ve contributed.

“They deserve it because they’ve been amazing, the way they’ve gone from disappointment to disappointment without losing enthusiasm has been really special and we’re aware of that.

“We want to try to bring some success here and hopefully get the smile back on their faces.”

Hull come into the game with a five-game unbeaten run and Town’s Manager detailed the threat that the Tigers pose.

“Hull pose a lot of threats. I think Grant’s got two wide players that are real threats, probably two of the best attacking players in the league for sure.

“I think his team has athleticism and mobility midfield and players who can handle the ball. They’ve done very well thus far, had a really good result against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday which no doubt they’re buoyed by.

“We’re really determined ourselves, we like the feeling of victory and the taste of the win on Tuesday and we’re really determined to try to get another good performance and try to build on Tuesday’s performance.”

Danny Cowley wasn’t able to call on the services of Terence Kongolo or Alex Pritchard on Tuesday but is hoping to be able to on Saturday.

“They have been on the grass and we would certainly like them back into the squad.

“They’re two really important players so if we could have them back in the group that would be a big plus for everybody.

“It’s a very important game for us so to have them available would be beneficial.

“Everyone at the Football Club knows the qualities that those two bring and they would definitely add to what we have.”
