Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley is looking forward to the challenge when Town take on Brentford this Saturday.

The leagues most two in-form sides will meet at Griffin Park with Town looking to go seven Sky Bet Championship matches unbeaten.

When speaking to the press, the Terriers’ Manager admitted how impressed he’s been watching some of Brentford’s games.

“We’ve been really impressed with Brentford, probably the most impressed I’ve been of any team since I’ve been here in terms of the opposition analysis work that we do.

“They’ve been really slick, they move the ball very quickly though the thirds, they want to make the pitch very open and expansive.

“They’re very good in the attacking transition moment and carry real threat with their front three.

“They have goals throughout their group, so they’re in a really good place – very confident and we expect to see the best of Brentford on Saturday.

“We’re really looking forward to the challenge that that brings us as a new group.”

Town go into this game off the back off a win against Barnsley, extending the Club’s unbeaten run.

Danny pushed a lot of credit on to his players, who have fully embraced their new ways of working.

“I think that’s been a team effort and I think we’ve all helped each other in doing that.

“We’re not the finished article, we’re a million miles away from being what we want to be.

“I don’t think we’ll ever achieve what I want us to be because you’re always striving as a football manager for perfection.

“I’m not sure perfection exists, but I’m going to keep trying to find it.

“I think the players deserve a lot of credit. Nicky and I are pretty demanding, 24/7 relentless, but they’ve bought into it and worked exceptionally hard.

“We’ve had small steps, but we are striving for consistency. “

Danny Cowley has been without Terence Kongolo for the past month, as he’s been out with a calf injury.

He gave the latest on the defender and gave a full team update.

“The boys have been in excellent spirits and they’ve worked hard.

“Terence Kongolo is on the grass which is a positive.

“He’s an incredible athlete, which everybody knows, and when you have boys who are incredibly athletic then you have to be extra cautious because when they have soft tissue injuries then the nature of the way they perform means that they use their muscles very powerfully, so we’ve probably had to be more cautious than we would have liked and that we had anticipated earlier.

“Certainly, the fact that he’s back on the grass means he’s fighting for a place in the team.”
