- Comments from Manager Danny Cowley

The hard work will continue for Huddersfield Town’s First Team squad over the international break, with the squad heading abroad for a week of warm-weather training today!

Danny and Nicky Cowley will lead the First Team players who are not away on international duty to a camp in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, with the squad departing early on Sunday morning and returning on Friday 15 November 2019.

Temperatures in Dubai hit highs of 30 degrees during November, so the players are in for some hard work under the Cowleys during the six day stay!

You’ll be able to keep a close eye on training through Town’s social media accounts, as well as on the HTTV YouTube channel, throughout the training camp.

Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley explained:

“We’ve had a really good period at the Club over the last month, but we’re humble enough to know that we are far from the finished article and it is really important that we keep working hard during the November international break.

“We wanted the opportunity to take the players away so we could continue to get to know them as characters in a different environment, plus we wanted to try and ensure we got warm weather to spend as much time as possible on the training pitch.

“I’d like to thank Mark Fagan and the team operations department, who have secured a fantastic deal that has allowed us to travel to Dubai. It’s a perfect destination for us to continue our hard work ahead of the game at home to Birmingham City on 23 November.”

Academy players Giosue Bellagambi, Jacob Chapman, Kian Harratt, Aaron Rowe, Mustapha Olagunju and Josh Austerfield will travel with the squad, while Jaden Brown and Collin Quaner will stay behind in Yorkshire to continue their recoveries from injury.

Tommy Elphick hasn't travelled with the squad to Dubai and will have a scan on his knee after picking up an injury against Preston North End. He could, however, join the squad early next week.
