Young Terriers will take on Wigan Athletic in high-profile competition

- Town youngsters looking for first win in Premier League Cup group
- Young Terriers face Wigan at the County Ground on Monday, 7pm kick-off
- Dean Whitehead’s side drew 0-0 with Sunderland in first group game

Huddersfield Town’s Under-19s face Wigan Athletic on Monday (11 November 2019) looking for their first win in the Premier League Cup group stages.

The high-profile competition pits the Young Terriers against high-level opposition, which will further the development on the youngsters. The focus, however, will be on the performance and getting a result.

Dean Whitehead’s youngsters travel to Wigan Athletic for their second group game of the competition on Monday (11 November 2019) and the game kicks off at 7pm at the County Ground.

Town’s Under-19s come into this game off a 0-0 draw against Sunderland in their first game of the Premier League Cup group stages.

In the Sunderland game, the Young Terriers possessed control over majority of the game but could not beat the visiting goalkeeper Anthony Patterson.

Supporters can attend the game against Wigan Athletic! Tickets for adults cost £3 with concessions costing only £1.

Also note that free parking is available after 5pm and a catering kiosk will be open serving hot food and drinks.

Wigan will also be aiming to get their first points in the group stage after their 3-2 defeat to Liverpool’s Under-23s in the first game of the competition.
