Huddersfield Town’s first morning session in Dubai focused on recovery ahead of what will be an intense week for Danny Cowley’s First Team squad.
The Terriers’ have come to the United Arab Emirates to have more time on the grass as the Cowley brothers enhance their understanding of the squad, whilst implementing their ideas.
The first session in Dubai saw the players take part in a recovery session, which aimed to help the muscle recovery following the Preston North End match. The session also helped to get movement back into the players’ legs after a seven-hour flight.
Huddersfield Town’s Senior First Team Performance Coach Dan Hughes commented:
“The lads played the game at the weekend and then straight away the next morning were on a flight, a long-haul flight, seven hours, so the idea of this morning was to get the blood flow back into the body and get them moving again. That was in conjunction with trying to get the body clock right too because we are four hours in front.
“We got them out in the sun this morning, used foam rollers to manufacture the release in the muscles to get rid of any tightness.
“Then we did a mobility section to work on range in motion, to get the body moving, get the blood flow, and to hopefully get them feeling a bit better as we have a tougher session this afternoon.”
