The 11th anniversary event will be a 300-mile ride around God’s Own County visiting all Yorkshire clubs in the top five divisions of English football between Wednesday 22 April 2020 and Saturday 25 April 2020.

All details of Huddersfield Town’s Pedal for Pounds 11 with Made By Cooper ride, ‘The Ride of Yorkshire’, were revealed to supporters at Magic Rock Brewery tonight.

The money raised from the ride will go half to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and half to the Town Foundation. The Foundation will split their half in three ways; half of it to their own Breakfast Clubs and the rest between Kirkwood Hospice and Platform 1 – a men’s mental health charity in Huddersfield.

The Pedal for Pounds 11 with Made By Cooper journey will begin on Wednesday 22 April 2020, when the cyclists depart from the John Smith’s Stadium on a 105-mile trek! That day they will visit Halifax Town, Bradford City, Leeds United and Harrogate Town before ending up at Middlesbrough FC’s Riverside Stadium.

After a night in Teesside, day two will be a scenic 83-mile ride across the North York Moors to Hull City.

The cyclists will then head for Sheffield, stopping in at Doncaster Rovers, Rotherham United, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday; day three will be 78-miles.

The final leg of ‘The Ride of Yorkshire’ will see the cyclists call in at Barnsley FC on their way back to the John Smith’s Stadium for the Club’s final home game of the season against West Bromwich Albion for a pre-match lap of honour.

Along the way, the cyclists will be joined some very familiar faces who’ve played for Town or one of the other Yorkshire clubs! Tom Cowan, Darren Bullock, Peter Jackson, Jon Worthington, Leigh Bromby and Matt Glennon will each do a part of the ride.

On the ride, the cyclists will also be joined by Chairman Phil Hodgkinson, Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and Director/Former Chairman Dean Hoyle, who served bacon butties to the cyclists at the feed stops last year.

That’s not all, there will be other surprises along the way still to be revealed!

Huddersfield Town’s Club Ambassador Andy Booth commented:

“To make this ride extra special we wanted to celebrate everything that’s great about Huddersfield Town and Yorkshire.

“As well as a beautiful, scenic ride, the cyclists will also be joined by former players, Managers and current coaching staff, so it’s one you certainly won’t want to miss!

“There’s always a fantastic camaraderie on the Pedal for Pounds rides and there’s lots in store for this one.

“So, whether you’re a Pedal for Pounds regular or like the sound of the ride and want a new challenge, make sure you get involved.

“You’ll have a great time and raise money for charities, which will make a massive difference to the lives of people in our community.”

The entry fee for the ride is £175; this reserves your place on the ride, includes three nights hotel accommodation in shared rooms, your ride jersey, dinner, water and snacks each day.

Each cyclist is asked to raise a minimum of £600 to take part in the ride which will benefit YAA, the Town Foundation, Kirkwood Hospice and Platform 1.
