“It’s always good and a different feeling when you’re playing at home” said Kamil Grabara ahead of Huddersfield Town’s Sky Bet Championship game against Birmingham City.

The Terriers return back to the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday (23 November 2019) for the first time in four weeks as they take on the Blues.

When speaking ahead of the game, Kamil spoke about his excitement to get back out in front of the home fans.

“It’s always good and a different feeling when you’re playing at home, you don’t have to focus on the away fans when they’re shouting at you behind the goal.

“Our Stadium is packed every game, so it’s a double pleasure to play at home; one to play for the home fans and the second one when the Stadium is full or nearly full.”

Birmingham City currently sit 13th in the Sky Bet Championship table and have a main focal point of Lukas Jutkiewicz up front, who is their top scorer with four goals to his name.

Town’s ‘keeper explained what work he’s done on the Blues both on and off the pitch and how that’ll help prepare him for the game.

“Before every game we analyse the team, especially with Clem (Paul Clements) and the rest of the goalkeepers.

“We know what they do, what to expect and then train to make it clear how they play and put ourselves in situations we might have in a game.

“We spoke about them, but many teams in the Championship play a similar style of football and, it’s just personality that you need to look into.

“It’s helpful, it’s alright to do it, but in the end not everything is the same as on the videos, because the game is so unpredictable.”

Town have just come out of the November international break and will now lead up to the busy winter period, something the Poland Under-21 Captain is looking forward to.

“Now it’s a busy time, but there’s no better feeling in football than playing games!

“Who wants to train when they can play games? The Championship is the best league to have that! Less training and more games.”
