After a week away on a warm-weather training camp, Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley is focused on his side putting in a good performance against Birmingham City at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Terriers had a long, intense training camp in Dubai during the November international break as they continued to develop the Cowleys’ style of play.

Town’s attention now turns back to Sky Bet Championship action when they take on the Blues.

Come the Birmingham City game, Town won’t have had a home match for almost a month, so Danny Cowley is looking forward to being back on home soil.

“We had a good week in Dubai and now we need to make sure that we get value for the hard work we had out there.

“We always love playing at home in front of our supporters, so we are looking forward to getting back to the John Smith’s Stadium come Saturday and giving our very best against a good Birmingham team.”

Birmingham City currently sit 13th in the Sky Bet Championship, six points ahead of Huddersfield Town, having won two of their last five league games.

Despite a busy training week on the grass, the Cowleys and their backroom staff have been working hard off it to have the best understanding of Birmingham City they can.

Town’s Manager detailed his early thoughts on the Blues.

“We’ve already had a good opportunity to look at Birmingham. We’ve got some more games to watch. We know they’re a good team in a good moment.

“They have the opportunity to go quickly into the front, but also have technical players to allow them to have control and rhythm in games, so we know they’ll bring a really challenge and we are looking forward to that.”
