Huddersfield Town Ladies will take on Barnsley Ladies in the Sheffield FA Women’s Challenge Cup Final on Sunday 12 May 2019; 3pm kick-off.
Following an impressive 4-0 Semi-Final win against Sheffield Ladies in March, the Ladies are set to face Barnsley in the final – the fourth time the two sides have met each other at this stage of the competition.
Sunday will be the fifth consecutive Challenge Cup Final for Huddersfield Ladies, who will be hoping to retain the trophy for a third consecutive season. The Ladies beat Barnsley 2-1 in 2017 and 3-0 last season.
Opponent, Barnsley, sits fourth in the FA Women's Division 1 North table – a division below the Town Ladies - with 41 points from 22 games.
In the last outing, the Terriers beat Bradford City 11-0 at home and come into this match off the back of three consecutive wins.
The game will take place at Rotherham United's New York Stadium on Sunday 12 May 2019, kicking off at 3pm.
Reaching the Sheffield FA Women’s Challenge Cup Final is another box ticked in a brilliant season for Huddersfield Ladies.
The Ladies’ excellent performances in the FA Women’s National League North saw Town attain its highest points tally and league position in the Club’s history so far – fourth place with 47 points.
The Terriers also made it to the Fifth Round of the Women’s FA Cup following a tremendous run.
After performing admirably, the Ladies were eventually knocked out after losing 8-1 to an impressive West Ham United Women's side.
