Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle won the ‘Star of the Year’ prize at the Pulse Awards.
The awards night took place on Thursday 16 May 2019 in Brighouse and aimed to recognize some of the amazing people in West Yorkshire.
There were 11 awards on the evening, which included Home Grown Talent, Adult Outstanding Bravery, Community Contribution and more.
The only one of those awards that didn’t have nominations was the Star of the Year prize, which was decided by a panel of judges.
Town’s Chairman was chosen as the winner of the award because of his work both in business, at Huddersfield Town and in the community through the work of the Town Foundation.
Dean Hoyle started out with a market stall selling cards before growing the Card Factory into a nationally recognised brand. He also invested into The Works and had great success.
Alongside an incredible business career, Dean Hoyle also transformed Huddersfield Town and was Owner and Chairman during the Club’s most successful years in recent history.
Unfortunately, Dean wasn’t at the awards evening, however, the Club’s Press Officer, Callum Limb, Marketing Manager, Jonathan Wilkinson, and Video Assistant, Thomas Gomersall, picked up the award for him.
