Leigh Bromby’s Young Terriers set to face Garuda Select

- Huddersfield Town Under-17s to play against Garuda Select
- Dean Whitehead's Under-19s also in action against Derby County
- Four Under-17 Terriers take on #HTTV ‘Foot Tennis’ challenge

Leigh Bromby’s Huddersfield Town Under-17s side will head to Birmingham FA HQ to take on Garuda Select on Wednesday 20 March 2019.

Town supporters can watch the friendly for FREE at the HQ on Ray Hall Lane, Birmingham (B43 6JF) and is a 1pm kick-off.

Last time out the Young Terriers won 2-0 at Notts County before the latest EFL U18 Youth Alliance League fixture against Scunthorpe United was postponed, having originally been scheduled for last Saturday (16 March 2019).

Town’s Academy Manager Leigh Bromby will be looking for his Under-17s side to put in another positive performance, whilst meeting their personal objectives.

Wednesday’s opponents Garuda Select are over from Indonesia and have already faced a number of English Academy teams in the last few weeks.

Most recently, the side beat Blackburn Rovers’ Under-18s 4-0 less than a week ago, having also played the likes of QPR, MK Dons, Macclesfield Town and Walsall, previously.

Young Terriers defenders Taylor Annakin and George Alfieri will be hoping to feature in that game. The pair have appeared in 20 and 27 games respectively for the Under-17s in 2018/19.

They took on fellow teammates Darnell Mintus and Seth Meeson in our #HTTV Foot Tennis challenge. Mintus has three goals for the Huddersfield Town Academy side this season whilst his midfield teammate Meeson has appeared 16 times.

You can watch the full challenge below on #HTTV to find out which pair won!

Huddersfield Town’s Under-19s side is also in action as Dean Whitehead’s Young Terriers face Derby County.

The game will take place behind-closed-doors at Derby County’s Training Ground (DE21 4TB) on Wednesday 20 March 2019, kicking off at 12.30pm.

With the match taking place behind-closed-doors supporters cannot attend, however, live match updates will be available via Twitter on @htafcAcademy.
