Huddersfield Town Head Coach Jan Siewert was keen to focus on the Crystal Palace match and not about the circumstances surrounding the game.

If the Terriers lose the game and results go against them, then Jan Siewert’s side could be relegated to the Sky Bet Championship.

This, however, isn’t the main focus for Town’s Head Coach, who’s attentions are firmly fixed on how his side can cause Crystal Palace problems.

“Nothing changes for us, because we have a game at the weekend and we can win the game. It’s important to go there and prepare so we can win.

“I am always focused on the future, of course, because we have to have a long-term view as a Club and me as a manager.

“But, at the moment, it’s still about every weekend and this weekend we have our next opponent.

“We go there after preparing ourselves and we will try to do everything to get something out of the game.”

Crystal Palace currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, five points outside the relegation zone.

Jan Siewert explains what he expects from the Eagles and discussed whether Wilfried Zaha was their main threat.

“I think there’s a difference when they play at home to when they play away, so we had a look at that.

“They’re a quick team, quick in transition, so very quick and have quick wingers, I especially think of Zaha. I know Batshuayi from Dortmund from when he played there.

“Sometimes they play in 4-3-3 or sometimes in 4-2-3-1 with a real 10, Max Mayer played in the cup. We have to be aware of each shape, whichever they will play.

“We know that Zaha is a dangerous player, but there are other dangerous ones. Sometimes he makes runs for others to score. We have to be aware of every player, but of course, he’s a key player.”

The international break has allowed a number of Town players to return back to training.

Jan Siewert explained who is available this weekend when providing a latest fitness update.

“Today there were just two players who weren’t able to train; Adama Diakhaby still because of his injury and Demeaco (Duhaney), but they are already on the pitch working with the ball. We had 21 players today in training, which is a good number – better than the last weeks!

“Jonathan Hogg, Danny Williams and Christopher Schindler are all available and could all be a possibility at the weekend.

“Isaac (Mbenza) is good, but he’s in his first week back. I think he needs one more week to be closer to the squad. I don’t think he’ll be available for Palace.

“Laurent Depoitre came back to full training today because he had problems with his foot. He won’t be able to play at the weekend but he’s in a good way to get back to full health.”
