Jan Siewert expressed his anger at the outcome of Town's trip to the South Coast as Florin Andone headed home a late winner in a game of few chances.

His side had defended superbly with a number of key challenges to thwart the home side from taking the lead earlier than it eventually came, but it was to be one set-piece that would prove dividends.

"I'm totally angry.

“We lost the game because of a free-kick. We had some chances and we defended well. After such a massive game against Wolves, we definitely should have got something out of today."

The encounter was firmly in the balance until Andone snuck in to finish 10 minutes from time, although the task wasn't made easier for the Terriers due to a duo of forced alterations.

"We had to do early substitutions; Jonathan Hogg couldn't breathe and Jon Gorenc Stankovic had a muscle problem. We knew this because it was just his second game of the Premier League season."

"We had many possibilities, especially on the counter, but we didn't finish those counters. We were over-threatened with counters, and we defended really well. Lössl made some good saves. We have to learn that just one situation in the Premier League changes games."

Siewert commended those who made the trip to Sussex and explained his discontent at an outcome that may well have been all so different.

"We had a great performance, they are sitting in the dressing room disappointed. They travel such a long time, and they supported us through the game which was brilliant. It's one situation, and one free-kick. That's why I'm angry."
