Students from Kirklees College provide new activities for supporters

- Lots of activities for the whole family planned by Club Partner
- Perrys Fanzone kicks off at noon on Saturday 9 March 2019
- Ben Thornley on stage for Boothy's Beer & Banter

Kirklees College will take over the Perrys Fanzone this weekend ahead of Huddersfield Town’s Premier League game against AFC Bournemouth.

Huddersfield Town Club Partner has running a range of different, fun activities prior to the annual Kirklees College game on Saturday 9 March 2019, with the Perrys Fanzone starting at noon.

The Perrys Fanzone is proud to announce that Ben Thornley is set to take the stage for Boothy’s Beer & Banter!

Thornley originally joined Huddersfield Town on loan between 1996 and 1998, making 12 appearances and scoring twice before making the move permanent.

The winger made over 100 appearances for the Terriers. In his first season Town finished 10th in Division One before finishing second in the following campaign. However, in his final season, Town suffered relegation to Division Two.

Ben is sure to tell an interesting story and will be able to answer any of your questions! The Q&A will take place exclusively in the Function Suite at PPG Canalside, so make sure you come early to secure your seat.

Bring your child to the Perrys Fanzone, so he/she can take part in a range of games! Kirklees College is bringing along giant games like Jenga, so young supporters can have fun together.

If that doesn’t take their fancy, then why don’t they challenge their friends on FIFA as the GAME Den returns! Take control of Karlan Grant or Callum Wilson and show off your skills.

Not only that, youngsters can also take part in ‘Beat the Goalie’, which will take place on the artificial grass outside the front of the building.

Students will also be bringing copper black maran chicks (above) to the Fanzone! Come and see them at the Perrys Fanzone.

Artifaces will also be on hand to provide youngsters with face paint and balloon models, so they look match day ready before heading to the John Smith’s Stadium.

Whilst the youngsters enjoy an array of activities, supporters can also listen to Boothy’s Beer & Banter as Town’s Club Ambassador, Andy Booth, is joined on stage with a special guest!

It’ll take place exclusively in the Function Suite at PPG Canalside and the guest will be announced soon.

If you want a bite to eat before going to the John Smith’s Stadium, then get your lunch inside PPG Canalside and choose from the match day menu. Thanks to Haighs Farm Shop for providing the produce.

If you’re after a pre-match pint or soft drink, then the Perrys Fanzone is the place to go. The menu, of course, includes the pie of the day with all meat provided by Haighs Farm Shop.

There’s also a variety of drink options that you can choose from including Town’s Official Magic Rock beers.

Please note that car parking spaces on the day will only be available to supporters with Premier Car Park passes!
