“I can’t thank the fans enough for their support so far” said Karlan Grant as he looked back at his first six weeks at Huddersfeld Town.

The young striker has made five appearances for the Club since joining and scored his first goal on his home debut against Arsenal.

Grant became an instant hit with the Huddersfield Town fans, and he admits they’ve made his time at the Club even more special.

“They’ve been brilliant to me,” smiled Grant.

“When I came on against AFC Bournemouth last game the roar they gave me was unbelievable.

“That roar gives you a buzz and makes you want to make an impact immediately.

“I can’t thank them enough for their support so far and hopefully it can continue.

“I feel like I’ve done well when I’ve played, so hopefully I can continue and get better.”

Karlan made the move up north, leaving home for the first time, but admitted the transition to life in Huddersfield has gone well so far.

“It feels like home already to be fair. The lads have been brilliant, and I’ve fitted in well.

“At the end of the day, it’s just football, so you blend in, get to know the players and how they play.

“I’ve been here for a month or so now, it feels like home, so it’s all good and I get along with the lads.”

Whilst adapting to a change of location, Karlan has also been working hard on the training pitch to adapt to a new style of play.

The young striker detailed what he’s worked on so far with the Terriers.

“At first you felt the difference (between League 1 and the Premier League) because you have to up your game as the tempo is higher.

“I think I’ve adapted well to it and hopefully I can keep on improving. I am learning at the same time coming from League 1 to the Premier League, which in my opinion is the best league in the world, so it’s a big change, so it’s getting used to it. I feel like I am and that I’m improving every day.

“It’s been tough, a different training regime, which I’m getting used to as well, but I’m only getting better.

“When I get on the pitch I keep feeling more confident, so hopefully I can continue to make an impact.”

Town face West Ham United this weekend and the striker’s pure focus is to get that winning feeling back in the dressing room.

“We just have to try and win as many games as we can to build that confidence.

“Everyone had confidence after the Wolves game, which was kind of shattered after Brighton but hopefully we can get that winning feeling back and get on a run.

“After the Wolves game everyone had smiles on their faces and we want that every day.

“Every day people have smiles on their faces, but we want that winning smile. It makes it better at the weekend.”
