A Huddersfield Town Academy side will head to the Newcastle United Academy for an Invitational Festival on Saturday 23 March 2019.

Town will play in the three-team tournament alongside hosts Newcastle United and FC Tokyo at the Newcastle United Academy, Greenlee Drive, Little Benton, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (NE7 7SF).

The Festival begins with Newcastle United facing FC Tokyo at 12pm, before the Young Terriers play back-to-back games, starting with a 1.20pm kick-off against FC Tokyo.

Dean Whitehead will take the side the comprises of players from Town’s Under-19 and Under-17 sides that are eligible as part of the Under-18 age bracket.

The final game of the tournament sees Town face Newcastle United at 2.40pm with games scheduled to finish around an hour later.

Matches will consist of two 30-minute halves with a five-minute break in between and will use a roll-on-roll-off subs in the games, meaning a player can leave and re-enter the game at any time.
