Steve Mounié starts as Benin get ready for the African Cup of Nations

- Mounié helps Benin beat Guinea in friendly
- Mathias Zanka helps Denmark beat Georgia
- Florent Hadergjonaj comes on in Kosovo’s win over Bulgaria

Preparations are going well for Huddersfield Town striker Steve Mounié as he helped Benin to a 1-0 win over Guinea.

This was the Squirrels’ first friendly ahead of this summer’s African Cup of Nations. The Nation has only qualified for the competition four times since 1962.

Steve, who won his 14th cap for his country, thought he had put Benin ahead inside the first 30 minutes. The striker had the ball in the net, however, the referee had already blown for a Benin free-kick. Fortunately for the Squirrels Stéphane Sessegnon’s set piece flew into the back of the net.
