TOWN ACADEMY WILL PLAY IN THE TIGERS CUP

Pre-season Tournament for Young Terriers

- Academy Side entered into the Tigers Cup
- Four-team competition hosted by Hull City
- Games take place in July at Bishop Burton College

Huddersfield Town Academy will enter a side to play in the Tigers Cup held at Bishop Burton College over three days in July.

Hosted by Hull City, the four-team Tigers Cup competition will pit the Young Terriers with games against Pickering Town, Bridlington Town and Hull City’s Under-23 side.

The games provide an early test for the Young Terriers with games against two First Team Non-League opposition and Hull City’s Development squad.

Hull City’s Under-23 side is managed by Jon Beale and ended finished 10th in the Professional Development League North Division last season.

Bridlington Town finished third in the NCEL Premier Division campaign (Tier 9) in 2018/19, thirteen points behind Champions Worksop Town and ended the campaign with five successive wins.

The second Non-League opponent is Pickering Town who finished 16th in the Northern Premier League Division One East (Tier 8) having been promoted in the 2017/18 campaign.

Town will face Bridlington Town in the second semi-final on Thursday 25 July 2018 with a 7.30pm kick-off.

The Young Terriers will then face Hull City or Pickering in either the Final or Third/Fourth play-off held on Saturday 27 July 2019 with the final at 11am and the play-off following soon after.

Admission to all four games will be free of charge to all supporters.
