In the run up to Huddersfield Town’s 2019/20 season in the Sky Bet Championship, htafc.com will take a look at some of the most memorable fixtures against teams the Terriers will face – this time we look back at the Premier League win over Fulham.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah's half-hour mark own-goal was enough to earn Huddersfield Town’s elusive first Premier League win of the season in what was a good performance from the Terriers.
Town began to create a number of chances, the best coming after 15 minutes. Phillip Billing’s fierce 30 yard effort struck the woodwork.
That pressure paid off shortly after. Christopher Schindler, in an aerial tussle with Fosu-Mensah, rose highest to meet Chris Löwe's second-phase cross to put Town ahead. However the goal was later awarded to the Fulham man.
The Terriers continued to create chances into the second half, however, the game ended 1-0.
