Josh Koroma shared his delight after he became Huddersfield Town’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
The young forward joins Town from National League Champions Leyton Orient having notched 11 goals and 7 assists last season.
When speaking to #HTTV, Josh explained why he thought Jan Siewert’s side was the perfect next step for his career:
“I’m very happy, it’s been a long time coming. I’ve been linked with the Club since January so it’s good to finally get it over the line.
“Mainly because of the stature of the Club, the fans; I know how good the fans are. The Head Coach likes playing young players and I thought it was the best choice for my career.
“I just want to do as well as possible, hopefully I can break into the team and show what I can do. You’ve just got to keep making steps in your career and this is the next step for me.
“I’ve met him (Jan Siewert) and he told me how he wants to play, and it suits me. As soon as I met him I knew I wanted to sign straight away."
Koroma has a wealth of experience for someone who is just 20 years old having turned out in over 80 professional games; including 39 times for Leyton Orient in the National League last season.
“I’ve played under a lot of Managers and a lot of different players. It helps you gauge experience and learn how to play different formations under different people and it’s all a learning curve for me. I’m happy I left on a high and we got promoted so that’s good.
“It fills me with confidence, and I know I had a good season last season and I’ve been rewarded with a move to Huddersfield, so I hope I can continue the form I finished last season with.
