Josh Koroma has become Huddersfield Town’s third signing of the summer, joining from National League champions Leyton Orient.

Josh was born on 9 November 1998 in Southwark, London, eventually joining the Leyton Orient Academy as a 15-year-old.

He didn’t have to wait long for his First Team debut for Orient, which came in a league game against Barnet in April 2016 whilst still an Academy scholar.

Koroma signed his first professional contract with the Club five months later and went on to establish himself in the First Team during a difficult 2016/17 season in League 2, making 22 appearances.

His first senior goals came in some style; Josh grabbed three goals and an assist during a thumping 4-0 win at Newport County, becoming the youngest Orient player to score a hat-trick in the process.

Josh’s form was soon rewarded with a debut for the England C side – the team that represents the country at non-league level – in May 2017.

An extended two-year contract followed in the summer of 2018 after another 31 appearances; largely on the wing.

A switch to a striking position saw Koroma take off and play a key role in Orient’s championship-winning campaign last year, netting 11 goals and seven assists in 35 start for the O’s.
