Huddersfield Town will face 2. Bundesliga side Hamburger SV in the Club’s final friendly during the week-long training camp in Austria.

It was previously announced that Jan Siewert’s side would play two games against German side Greuther Fürth and now the third and final match during the training camp has now been confirmed.

The game will take place on Saturday 13 July 2019, kicking off at 4pm local time (3pm UK) at the Sportplatz Kitzbühel-Langau (Jochberger Straße 120, 6370 Kitzbühel, Austria).

Directions to Kitzbühel (from Kirchberg): Supporters can get the Bus 4004 to Kitzbühel Hammerschmiedstraße and then the Bus 4002 to Kitzbühel Langau. The Stadium is just a small walk from there.

Huddersfield Town supporters can attend the match; admission information will be confirmed on htafc.com in due course.

For fans who cannot travel to Austria, plans are already afoot to stream all the games LIVE via iFollow HTAFC.

During the 2018/19 campaign, Hamburger SV finished fourth in the 2. Bundesliga table narrowly missing out on an immediate return to the German top-flight.

The Club finished one point below second-placed SC Paderborn 07 and third-placed FC Union Berlin after winning one of their last seven league games.

The Hamburger SV squad boasts a number of internationals that Huddersfield Town fans may recognise. Left-back Douglas Santos has been capped by Brazil, whilst centre-backs David Bates and Kyriakos Papadopoulos have played for Scotland and Greece respectively.

The most recognised name in the squad is midfielder Lewis Holtby. Between 2013 and 2015, the now 28-year-old spent time with Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham in the Premier League. During that spell he made 38 top-flight appearances and scored two goals. He also has three caps for Germany.
