You can watch all the highlights as Huddersfield Town’s Under-19s beat South Shields 2-0 away from home!
The match against the Evo-Stik Premier Division side provided Dean Whitehead’s youngsters with more of a physical test pitting a number of 17-year-olds against the men’s team.
Town took the lead on the 10-minute mark after Will McCamley, who joined Town from South Shields, was brought down in the penalty area. Striker Kit Elliott stepped up to take it and sent the ’keeper the wrong way to give Town the lead.
Town made it two with around 15 minutes remaining. Sam Sharrock-Peplow, who came on to replace McCamley, drove a left-footed effort into the bottom corner from just inside the area.
