The match against the BetVictor Northern North West Division side provided Dean Whitehead’s youngsters with another physical test on a very warm Yorkshire evening.
It was an entertaining first half with chances falling to both sides, however, no-one could find the illusive first goal.
The hosts eventually found a breakthrough early in the second half as a corner was impressive head into the back of the net, before they doubled their lead midway through the half.
Town goalkeeper Jacob Chapman made a couple of excellent stops before the Young Terriers got a lifeline; 17-year-old Nassim Kherbouche head home Dom Tear’s corner at the back post.
Dean Whitehead’s youngsters had some golden chances with just a few minutes remaining but couldn’t find an equaliser.
