You can watch all the highlights as Huddersfield Town’s Under-19s were beaten 4-3 by FK Austria Wien in what was a thrilling game.
Dean Whitehead’s youngsters fell behind after 11 minutes. The Austrian side took a free-kick quickly and managed to squeeze a cross in that allowed the striker to smash past goalkeeper Jacob Chapman.
Five minutes later, however, and Town equalised. Kian Harratt seized upon a poor back-pass and did brilliantly to round the goalkeeper before slotting home.
The second goal did soon follow midway through the first half. High produced a stunning pass to put Dom Tear through on goal. Dom did equally well, finishing to put his side ahead.
Kit Elliott made it three latched onto a top-class ball from Olly Dyson and firing into the back of the net.
With 20 minutes left that Town’s youngsters started to show understandable signs of fatigue. In the 73rd minute the hosts pulled one back as their striker volleyed home after receiving the ball over the top.
A simple 78th minute equaliser then followed and although Town tried to fight on, the winning goal went to the Austrians when the Town ‘keeper misplaced a pass to a striker, who squared to a colleague to tap home.
