January recruit from Spurs moves for First Team experience

- Huddersfield Town defender Jaden Brown departs on loan
- Left back joining Sky Bet League 2 club Exeter City
- Comments from Academy Manager Leigh Bromby

Huddersfield Town defender Jaden Brown has completed a loan move to Sky Bet League 2 club Exeter City for the rest of the 2018/19 season.

The left back, who turns 20 next week, will join up with the Grecians for a crucial second-half of the season as they chase promotion, currently sitting outside the Play-Offs on goal difference only.

Brown, an England Under-19 international, has four senior games under his belt in the Checkatrade Trophy, but it will be his first experience of league football under Manager Matt Taylor at St. James Park.

Jaden only joined The Terriers from fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, but a loan move was always on the cards, as Academy Manager Leigh Bromby explains:

“Our intention has always been to get Jaden out on loan if the right opportunity arose; it formed part of our conversations when we signed him this month.

“Jaden has reached the stage of his development where exposure to senior football at a high level is the right step and I’m delighted that this move to Exeter City became available.

“Exeter rightly has a great reputation for playing good, passing football and Jaden’s abilities should fit perfectly. He’ll face real competition for his place there, which is exactly what we want; pressure to perform.

“We’re all really excited to see Jaden go to Exeter and show what he can do.”

Jaden’s contract at Huddersfield Town runs until the June 2021, with the Club having the option on a further season.
