The Town fans gave new Head Coach Jan Siewert a fantastic welcome to the John Smith’s Stadium before kick-off against Everton.

However, after just three minutes Richarlison spoiled the party and put Everton ahead on his second attempt after his first shot was saved well by Jonas Lössl.

Despite being a goal down, the home crowd continued to make noise and create a great atmosphere for the new Head Coach.

Lucas Digne was sent off for the visitors in the 66th minute for a foul on Adama Diakhaby. Aaron Mooy took the resulting free-kick which was well saved by Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal.

With just over 10 minutes to go Pickford was called upon again and made a phenomenal save to deny Elias Kachunga, following a brilliant piece of skill and cross from Diakhaby.
