Steve Mounié gave Town the lead just after half an hour before Chris Wood equalised around 10 minutes later. Just before half-time, the game became more difficult for the Terriers as Christopher Schindler was sent off for two bookable offenses.

Despite a spirited second half performance, David Wagner’s side was beaten 2-1 as Ashley Barnes scored a late winner. Moments before the final whistle Robbie Brady also saw red for a dangerous tackle on Isaac Mbenza.
