Huddersfield Town midfielder Juninho Bacuna stressed how difficult it was to keep up with a side of Manchester City’s pedigree following the Club’s 3-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side.

The result means that the Terriers are 10 points from safety with 15 games remaining.

When speaking to #HTTV after the game, Bacuna praised the impact that Mark Hudson had on the team after the emotional departure of David Wagner at the start of the week.

“Mark did well, I think after David (Wagner) left there was a new energy in the team.

“Everybody was sharp, everybody was ready, and I think we saw today that we had a good plan and everybody worked for each other.”

During the match Town created numerous good chances and the Dutch midfielder admitted that some days the luck of the game just doesn’t go your way.

“Our plan was to play on the counter and we were unlucky to not create enough chances and to not score one or two times.”

Bacuna went on to discuss how the fans really got behind the team this afternoon and that everybody at the Club has to stick together.
