- Adama Diakhaby misses out with hamstring injury

Head Coach Jan Siewert has made three changes to the Huddersfield Town line-up to face Newcastle United in the Premier League today; 3pm kick-off at St. James’ Park.

Having missed the previous game at home to Arsenal through illness, both Jonas Lössl and Chris Löwe come straight back into the team for today’s game.

They are joined in the team by striker Laurent Depoitre, who makes his first start of Siewert’s embryonic tenure as Head Coach; his first since the away game at Manchester United on Boxing Day 2018.

Unfortunately, Adama Diakhaby has been side-lined by a hamstring injury today, whilst Ben Hamer and Terence Kongolo are among the substitutes.

Steve Mounié and Florent Hadergjonaj also return to the match day squad today as substitutes; they replace Alex Pritchard and Erik Durm in today’s 18.

Loanee Jason Puncheon makes the 400th start of his professional career today, whilst Jonathan Hogg makes his 300th appearance.

Alongside Diakhaby (hamstring), Isaac Mbenza (calf) and Danny Williams (knee) are also unavailable to Siewert this afternoon.
