Jan Siewert praised his Huddersfield Town side’s commitment and performance despite the Club’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Two first-half goals from Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette condemned the Terriers to a narrow defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium.

However, the Huddersfield Town Head Coach is determined that his side will keep fighting until the very end for their Premier League survival.

“I want to show that I fight for these supporters and these lads to stay in the Premier League.

“We have to fight and then the luck comes back, but if we don’t fight then we will get no luck.”

Despite going into the break 2-0 down, Town players came out fighting in the second half and put in a dominant display, leading to Town earning a late consolation goal through a Sead Kolašinac own goal.

Siewert went on to say that he was very proud of his side’s performance and believes that they are improving with each game.

“I think the way we created the chances, and at least we scored, we showed that we are on the right wave.

“We showed again today that we can create many chances which made me very proud.

“This is exactly the attitude I want to see. We showed that we fight for each other and that we fight on the pitch.”
