“We will keep fighting” was a clear message from Jonathan Hogg as Huddersfield Town continues to battle for Premier League survival.

With 12 games left of the Premier League season, Town is 14 points adrift, but Town’s Vice Captain explained how the players will continue to give everything they’ve got from now until the end of the season.

“We will keep fighting. We are Huddersfield Town, we won’t forget who we are and where we’ve come from.

“We worked really hard to get into the Premier League, so we aren’t going to go down with a whimper. We will give it all the fight we’ve got.”

The Terriers come into the next top-flight match off the back of an encouraging performance against Arsenal, something that’s done wonders to the team spirit.

“The goal towards the end (of the Arsenal game) has lifted the lads; they’re positive in the dressing room.

“We needed a performance like that, we needed a goal to give the fans something to cheer about. We have taken the positives and moved on.”

Jan Siewert joined the Club as Head Coach in January and has since introduced a new style of play.

The players have been working hard to adapt to that and Hoggy believes the signs are starting to show on the pitch.

“The new style of play seems like it’s starting to come together.

“The Head Coach has come in with new ideas and tried to change things here and there. We are using a similar style of play but with some different ideas.

“We need to keep working hard and stay positive.”
