Do you remember Huddersfield Town’s last win over Arsenal? Well, it came on 16 January 1971 at the Club’s old Leeds Road ground!

This game was one of the highlights of the season as Town beat Champions-to-be Arsenal.

Les Chapman opened the scoring with a memorable strike, which later won the Match of the Day Goal of the Month competition. He smashed a left footed strike into the top corner from the edge of the area.

Arsenal equalised as a free-kick was glanced into the back of the net, before Town was awarded a second half penalty. Top scorer Frank Worthington stepped up and smashed the ball past the ‘keeper and sent 30,453 supporters into pandemonium.

You can also hear post-match reaction from Frank Worthington and Arsenal ‘keeper Bob Wilson.
