Chris Löwe has urged the Town players to show their character ahead of Tuesday night’s Premier League game against Wolves.

The left-back spoke to #HTTV prior the game and detailed how hard this season has been, whilst stressing the importance of a strong mentality.

“It’s about the whole situation we are in and it is difficult for all of us; the players, staff, supporters.

“It’s about character from every single player, it’s about the character from our group, because everyone knows this situation is very difficult.

“You have to have a strong mentality to go through this period. We are trying to show this in the next games.

“In the end we have a job to do and we have to do it as good as we can; that’s the reason we have to go out tomorrow to try and perform better to get a result.

“We have to perform better and give Wolverhampton a big fight.”

Chris, who has been at Town since July 2016, went into detail about how the Club’s league position hurts him and his teammates.

“We know the Club is all about fight, it has been over the last two and a half three years. We never gave up, we always fought hard on the pitch and that’s what we have to do tomorrow again.

“You shouldn’t think that we don’t care about the situation we are in, we do.

“We have players in there that have been all the way with the Club and it’s not easy for us to take.

“In the end, the fans have supported us great all year, even in the situation we are in, and they’ve deserved more so far. We will try to give them something back in the next few games.”

Earlier in the season, Town beat Wolverhampton Wanderers – a performance that’s remembered fondly by the defender.

“I think that was our best game of the season when we played away at Wolves, so it gives us confidence as we know we can beat a team.

“In the end, you just have to look at the amount of points they picked up this season, how comfortable they are and the way they play.

“It will be, again, very, very tough. Everyone of us has to be on our best level to have a chance to get something tomorrow.”
