Trevoh Chalobah on the feeling pre-Middlesbrough

- Trevoh Chalobah discusses Town’s game against Middlesbrough
- Midfielder on getting as many points as possible
- 20-year-old happy to be back in the squad

Huddersfield Town midfielder Trevoh Chalobah spoke to htafc.com about how he’s feeling ahead of Town’s game against Middlesbrough on Boxing Day.

The First Team travel further North to take on Middlesbrough off the back of a dramatic 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The 20-year-old went into detail about how he’s feeling ahead of the Terriers next test.

“Moving on from a good performance on Saturday, I think the boys are ready to just go again. We all know how many games are coming up and we need to be ready for that.

“You have the same mind set for Boxing Day games as you do for any other and you go into the game looking to get some points.

“This time of year is the busiest for us, but it’s our jobs, it’s what we’re paid to do. The points are the most important thing and we need to make sure we get as many as possible in this period.

“If we do get the points that we need in this busy period I think it’ll set us up nicely for the New Year and we can go into it with more confidence.”

Town will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four, but Trevoh admits he knows playing Middlesbrough at the Riverside won’t be the easiest.

“It’s a massive game on Thursday. Middlesbrough are in and around us in the table, but if we get the points that we need in that game then it’ll set us up nicely for the next one.

“Playing them at home they’ll be tough to break down as they’ve got a solid back five.

“I think we’ve learnt from the last time we played them, how to break them down.

“The managers know what they’re doing, and they’ll be ready to go again.”

Saturday (21 December 2019) was Trevoh’s first home game back after his suspension, and he explained how good it is to be back.

“It’s so good to be back!

“It’s been a long three weeks, but it’s really good to be back and playing the games.

“For me it’s all about getting as many games as I can this season and helping the team get where they belong – it’s all about getting those points.”
