What a moment! Re-live Huddersfield Town’s dramatic win against Blackburn Rovers from the 1999/00 season.

After seven years in the Premier League, Rovers were relegated back down to Division One for the first time since 1992.

This game, which was shown live on Sky, began with an aggressive start from both sides, before Town took the lead in the 26th minute. Ironically, the goal was awarded to then-Rovers defender and former Town Manager Simon Grayson after a Marcus Stewart strike.

The striker then doubled his and Town’s tally in the 51st minute after a cool finish.

Blackburn Rovers, however, wouldn’t go down without a fight and pulled a goal back through midfielder Lee Carsley.

In the dying moments of the game the Town fans thought their side had let a two-goal lead slip as Marlon Broomes powered a header into the back of the net.

However, they were sent into pure delirium immediately after. A lovely team goal ended in Rob Edwards powering a strike into the bottom corner, meaning Town came away with three points.
