Kamil Grabara explained that Huddersfield Town deserved the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

The Terriers scored two goals from set pieces either side of half-time and controlled the majority of the game, despite conceding late on.

After the game, Kamil gave his thoughts on the win and performance.

“I think we deserved the win. We made it difficult for us like we seem to like to do. There are easier ways to win football games than what we did today but in the end it’s three points, which is good.

“If you aren’t fighting, you’re not winning games. We defended good at the end and if we score the third goal then the game would be closed.

“Even at 2-0 it’s game on and their goalkeeper kept them in the goal on two occasions from Karlan, which was a boost for them. They came back, they pressed us, had some chances but that’s how it is. We scored two and they scored one, so we won.”

Kamil made some vital saves at the end of the game to earn all three points for Town.

After a difficult game against Wigan Athletic, the goalkeeper responded well and explained how he needed to have a performance like that.

“It wasn’t the easiest week of my life because as everyone knows I messed up against Wigan. I apologised to the guys because I knew I messed up and I took two points away from us last weekend.

“I’m happy that I could help today and it’s good in the Championship when you have a stinker, then you could come back the week after and have another go.

“I did what I had to do, made some saves and it gave us three points at the end; it’s good. You feel better after the last week I had, it was needed for me and the team.

“Shout-out to the fans for sticking with us and keeping believing.”

Despite not scoring from a corner all season, Town scored two against Forest and the ‘keeper explained how much work the team has been doing on set pieces.

“It’s nice to have two goals scored from set piece, we definitely worked on that.

“If you have a target like Steve Mounié in the box it’s all about the delivery, if you have the right delivery its 75% that he will score.

“We exposed their weaknesses in the set piece area. We saw the Sheffield Wednesday game and they scored headers if I remember good, so we looked at that and took that into our game.

“I think they have a different perception on our set pieces, we look dangerous again. It’s good to have it in your locker, you need to have it in the Championship, so I’m pleased we scored and it’s all good.”
