Huddersfield Town centre-back Jon Gorenc Stanković was delighted after the Club’s win over Charlton Athletic.
The Terriers battled well and controlled the proceedings at The Valley before Matty Daly scored a last-gasp winner.
When speaking after the win, Jon explained how much that win meant to everyone.
“Every win feels amazing. The way we won the game is unbelievable. Everyone deserved the win from the first to the last person in this club. We are really happy.
“It was an amazing feeling for the fans. When you come so long for an away game and then see your team win. I think they deserve to celebrate.
“A win is a win, and everyone is special itself; it’s amazing. Now Saturday there’s a new game, we need to analyse this game, forget it and go to the next one.”
Fight, grit and determination have been three key words uttered by Town Manager in recent weeks.
All of those were at the fore of the Terriers’ performance and the players continued to believe and battle to the very end.
“We always felt it (that there would be a chance),” smiled Jon.
“We played until the end and said we wanted to keep the game alive, stay in the game. At the end, we scored, and it was really good for us. We are really happy.
“Everyone is fighting, everyone is trying to do his best. Everyone from the first starting to the last one on the bench; it really feels good. These are the guys we want.”
Jon made his fifth consecutive start in a Town shirt – the first time he’s done that at the Club.
The 23-year-old defender detailed how much he’s enjoying his football more and more each week.
“It felt amazing on the pitch. I felt good and I just want to keep going again, enjoying it, and let all what happened behind in the past, and just enjoy football. I am thankful and grateful for every opportunity.
“Schindy and I understand each other really well. We are really tight together. As you can see on the pitch, we talk a lot and it’s good to have him on my side.
“We played good in defence and scored at the end. It was an amazing win for us.”
